This is the one for OCR!
I have a serious vision disability which prevents me from reading print books. I had tried some iPhone OCR apps with unusable results. I had tried a flatbed scanner and desktop OCR and obtained maybe 80% accuracy which is useless.
I went into a sunny room and photographed each page of an old print book with Prizmo and then went over the created text file with spellcheck and proceeded to TTS. The results were beyond 99.9% accuracy. I am halfway through book and the only errors are two instances of "I" as "1" and three instances of French "e" with accent in italicized French words in an English text as "6". Maybe four or five instance of lost paragraph break. This is AMAZING accuracy! No words mis-captured. The original text even featured eccentric punctuation that involved extensive use of em-dash in the narration and dialog which was faithfully captured.
I captured the book without a copy-stand or tripod. Just me leafing through book and snapping pages with my iPod Touch 5 -- I did go through the captured pages within the app and manually crop each image prior to running the OCR. I wonder if reviewers with unsatisfactory experience were using low light or did not crop prior to OCR. The app made this cropping very easy in my opinion.
This is my experience. Prizmo is a miracle! Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic :)
