One thousand times EXCELLENT!!!
It works great!!
Ive tried many, but so far it is the best!
Though it feels intuitive to use everything I tried to many pictures with text in many fonts but to no avail. I am sorry but right now I feel like I wasted a good amount of money.
I took three pictures before it worked for OCR. The page must be straight and must have enough light. The app is good but not perfect yet. I hope they have another update soon.
The app works quite well at scanning business cards and typed text. The app produced accurate results each time Ive used it, and the app allows you to make adjustments to an image if needed. The app doesnt work too well with handwritten text though.
Bill recognition is useless. Business card and text recognition is ok.
I was astounded at how good the OCR was from both letters and business cards. Having them read back, at variable speeds, is icing. I love the voice choices and am using both english and french. the in app purchase was painless and very well implemented. Lighting plays a huge role in success and I have to say all my initial attempts were 100% accurate, but I tried with some less than perfect light and accuracy was not so good. I love the business card picture being added to "contacts". In the end it did what I expected better than I expected. Well done.
It has a good OCR but you must fine tuned it manually .Overall the OCR is similar to Docscanner ,I bought both . It lack proper organization in folder for the files .Better help to create PDF . Need to scan Microsoft word, excel document with frames ,borders and tabulation .When that will be possible I will add 5 stars. Docscanner detect border automatically
Good OCR as long as you dont use the "bill" feature (which is why I purchased). Most receipts have too much additional information on them that makes it impossible to scan and pop into a spread sheet unless you are prepared to do a LOT of editing. Its quicker to manually enter travel receipts into your expense claim. $10. lesson.
This is just great. Best OCR app around. With addition of voices even better. One complain I have is it doesnt keep the formatting of scanned theft ( doesnt separate paragraphs, instead it squeezes text into one single block). Thats too bad. If you need to keep the paragraphs separate you may need to look at DocScanner.
Prizmo App is brutal. I have tried to scan a page 10 times and it doesnt come out accurate. When I scan my $25 receipt it tells me the receipt is $700,000. Dont waste your money on this app.
So far not too pleased. Scanned an article, this is typical: WNAT DO AlliLIgrES DO TO BBI~G GOOD LU C"K TO "tHEiR GAMIg? Athletes do many things to bring good tuck to tlmlr game. Things you cant inmgth¢ grown rncn and women would do, They believe slrongly in these ~ or lucky charms, so strongly that some of them wouldnt laisy tb~ g~me if tim/ Open book OCR captured it perfectly.
DONT BE FOOLED. THIS PROGRAM CANNOT HANDLE RECEIPTS. IT EXPORTS THE CVS FILE IN A TOTALLY USELESS FORMAT.
I used this for text editing from screen shots and the camera; works great…if youre on one page at a time. The ability to select multiple Photos from the Album would make this OK app fantastic.
This is a scam if I have ever seen one. There needs to be an app police since this app is pathetic.
Very powerful features BUT complicated and lacking smoothness within the app as well as when sharing with other apps.
I have a serious vision disability which prevents me from reading print books. I had tried some iPhone OCR apps with unusable results. I had tried a flatbed scanner and desktop OCR and obtained maybe 80% accuracy which is useless. I went into a sunny room and photographed each page of an old print book with Prizmo and then went over the created text file with spellcheck and proceeded to TTS. The results were beyond 99.9% accuracy. I am halfway through book and the only errors are two instances of "I" as "1" and three instances of French "e" with accent in italicized French words in an English text as "6". Maybe four or five instance of lost paragraph break. This is AMAZING accuracy! No words mis-captured. The original text even featured eccentric punctuation that involved extensive use of em-dash in the narration and dialog which was faithfully captured. I captured the book without a copy-stand or tripod. Just me leafing through book and snapping pages with my iPod Touch 5 -- I did go through the captured pages within the app and manually crop each image prior to running the OCR. I wonder if reviewers with unsatisfactory experience were using low light or did not crop prior to OCR. The app made this cropping very easy in my opinion. This is my experience. Prizmo is a miracle! Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic :)
This is the best OCR application in the App Store period
